Friday morning the 28th began a little earlier than I expected. Robin woke me up around 4:30 am and said that she had been having some pretty good contractions for the last hour, and we should probably take off for the hospital. We got to the hospital around 5am. She went into active labor a little after 8am and at 8:25am Caleb Hudson Snyder was born.
He was 8lbs 1.7oz and 19 3/4 inches long, with a ton of hair.
We got back from the hospital on Sunday evening, and amidst all the chaos and business, and getting settled in, I now get a moment to update this incredible moment here. We are at home and enjoying being together as a family. Mom is recovering from the birth, and Caleb is sleeping, eating, and pooping like he's been doing it his whole life, oh wait...he has.
We feel so blessed and excited for the gift God has given to us, and are learning to be the caretakers of this precious gift that God has chosen us to be. Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts about us, and our child during the past nine months. Now you can be praying that we would be parents who lead their child into a closer walk with his heavenly father.Im sure I will have many more posts about this amazing little guy later on in the week, so stay tuned.

Our son had a lot of hair at birth too and then it slowly disappeared. Now he is bald and I keep waiting for it to come back! :-) Enjoy every moment. |
