I realize this post is two days over due, but here goes anyway...
On Friday, Caleb became 2 weeks old. Hard to believe that only 16 days ago, he came into our life, I can't imagine life without him now. So in celebration, here are 14 things about my son that have been amazing over the past 2 weeks.
1. He stole my heart.
2. He looks exactly like me when I was born. Im not sure if that's a good thing or not, Robin says it's good, but at this point Im sure she's just trying to convince herself it's a good thing.
3. The way he sleeps, so peaceful and all bundled up. I love swaddling him up like a baby burrito.
4.. The way he sleeps when he's all sprawled out. Arms up behind his head, legs spread out... He looks so comfy.
5. He has peed in every room of the house. Christening, or marking his territory... Im not sure which, but he seems to enjoy making a sport of it. At this point he's marked his room, me, robin, most of his clothes, his swing, a pillow, and I think speedy (not sure, not checking). Seems marking his territory was priority number 1.
6. The Diaper game - He likes to poop right after I change the diaper. I've taken to faking taking off the diaper, and waiting a few minutes. He goes but now, I think he's waiting me out. At this point, it's just who blinks first. I've got all day little man.
7. He lost his umbilical cord. This makes him look like a normal baby. He thinks it makes him look cool. The attitude starts already.
8. The way he smiles when he has gas. I don't care how it happens... The kid's got a cute smile.
9. His tiny feet and hands. His foot is the size of my big toe.
10. His eyes. Beautiful, vibrant. Taking in every bit of info they can.
11. His cry. Something about his cry makes me think of the God who has knit him together.
12. His smell. C'mon, you know what Im talking about.
13. Taking pictures of him.
14. He looks great in a Red Sox hat.
